Ina Gardner is the writer of numerous well-known American cooking books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. The show has been running since 2002. Ina began working in the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policies and also the budget. In the beginning, she found her work to be intellectually stimulating, however she soon lost interest, and purchased a tiny grocery store that was named Barefoot Contessa. After 18 years of making her store a huge success, she decided to sell it and started writing her first book. In the following years, numerous books were released and she also wrote columns for magazines. Another hit was her Food Network Television show. Also, Ina sells products that range from food items to storage containers and tools. Ina is a cook who has learned by herself who has not attended a cooking school and has never worked in a kitchen. She is well-known for her unpretentious style of entertainment as well as her simple food preparation.
