Coleman was born in the Lancashire town of Blackpool. She went to Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received every A grade on her A level exams. When discussing her Emmerdale appearance Coleman acknowledged regrets that she did not go to University. Coleman became a member of the theater group, In Yer Space while in school. She performed with them during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. Apart from receiving a prize for her acting, the production that she performed was well-received. Coleman was given the part of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while auditioning in drama schools in 2005. Coleman received two nominations in the year 2007. Coleman won two nominations in 2007: Best Newcomer for the British Soap Awards; and most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman got a nomination in the category of Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who announced in a news meeting held on the 21st of March, 2012, that Coleman would be replacing Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat chose her for the role due to her ability to work the best alongside Smith and could talk faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working on the scene for more than 30 years, and has been involved in a variety of TV and film projects. She has however been more prominent on TV as opposed to films. Eva's roles in TV series"Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. The first role she played on TV earned her 2 Daytime Emmy nominations, and helped her develop her passion for music. Eva is not just an actor, but as well a philanthropist and businesswoman. She has been married three times, and has a daughter who is with her second husband.
