Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding is a British musician and singer. The singer was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986 in Hereford. The infectious electronic music of Ellie Goulding quickly propelled her to the top of the charts when she was noticed by the general public in 2010. The singer-songwriter was able to do this with the singles "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses". Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has been at the forefront of the movement, just like Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap, of mainstream contemporary music, and independent, artistic pop. Her soprano voice and knack for writing emotionally honest songs make her stand out. Polydor Records signed her to an agreement with a record label and she started preparing for the debut album.
